Quobis®, the leader in WebRTC applications for corporate users, today announced that its WebRTC enterprise endpoint “Sippo WebCollaborator” is in general availability for the public.
Quobis’ Sippo Web Collaborator is a web-based UC client that includes voice, video, presence, file transfer and desktop sharing capabilities. When combined with leading WebRTC gateway vendors, SIPPO showcases how existing UC infrastructure can be seamlessly extended to the browser in any device.
“We are excited to announce that Sippo WebCollaborator, the webclient that utilizes and enhances the UC capabilities of the desktop to the browser, making the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) term a reality, is already available for purchase” said Iago Soto, Chief Marketing Officer of Quobis. “Our agnostic-based signaling approach has enabled us to pass several interoperability test with leading third-party gateway vendors in a very short time, both with standard SIPoWS (using our award-winning QoffeeSIP javascrip stack) and also with REST-based proprietary APIs”
Sippo WebCollaborator is part of the Sippo WebRTC Application Controller (WAC) , which integrates smoothly with existing IMS networks in the OSS/BSS area, managing the user provision, user AAA, branding, billing and compliance issues of WebRTC technology. This makes this solution the most effective way to introduce real-time communications in the web by service providers and opens up new business possibilities for telcos and service providers.
